Director of Virtual7, Gerard Holloway (AMIMI, AMIRTE, T. Eng) has over 10 years of race engineering experience. He spent much of his early career preparing Formula Fords but now specialises in race preparation and support for all Caterhams competing in the various current championships. His drivers have included championship winners and podium placings in a number of the Caterham National series and other Caterham club championships, such as the 750 Motor Club and Graduate/Super Graduate series.

The Engine

Neil Fletcher in race gear Neil Fletcher in race gearTo ensure close competition the Roadsport technical regulations are strict and dictate that engine rebuild work be carried out by either Caterham’s own workshops or Minister Power Race Engineering of Chatham in Kent. To ensure conformity each engine is sealed with a scrutineer’s ‘anti-tamper’ crimp. With over 28 years experience building race engines Minister Power are one of the finest motorsport facilities in the UK. They have supplied engines to such budding stars as Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell, Mika Hakkinen, Roberto Moreno Mika Salo, Alain Menu, Derek Warwick and Colin Turkington. At the end of last season they performed a full rebuild and dyno test on my engine in readiness for 2004.

The website can be found at www.minister-power.com

It only remains for me to say that with the combined services of these two outstanding motorsport organisations, my car is now at full power and fully prepared for the 2004 season!
